Sprinkler System City Backflow Device

An annual backflow test and a backflow rebuild every five years are two requirements within the City of Wichita. (Outside city requirements may differ.)

A Backflow test involves testing the Backflow device within a plumbing system and ensuring it is functioning properly and that no contaminated water will flow backwards into the clean water supply. A five year Backflow rebuild includes a rebuild of the Backflow device itself. Once the results of the test have been gathered and the rebuild has been completed, the information will be sent in by Turf Etc to the city water department.
