Aeration and overseeding are two separate services that we offer at Turf Etc during the Fall season. The two services do not have to be performed together but when combined into one service it creates the perfect conditions for new grass seed to germinate and establish themselves into the soil which in turn will lead to a thicker lawn.

Our process starts with aeration and the overseeding immediately following to deliver optimal results. Aeration is performed to break up compacted soil, creating ideal conditions for new grass seeds to germinate and establish a deeper root system, while overseeding introduces fresh grass seed to fill in bare patches and thicken the existing lawn, resulting in healthier, more resilient turf overall.

Plugs will be pulled about 2-3" deep and will be left on the soil to slowly decompose over the next couple of weeks which will allow nutrients to get directly to the root system as well as recycling bacteria that was in the ground to assist with the thatch while simultaneously the broadcasting a premium Kansas Fescue Seed blend and starter fertilizer.
